Shay Izhak Duvdevani, MD

Congress Chairman

Chairman of the Israeli society for facial and reconstructive surgery Otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery specialist Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Auricular reconstruction Graduated in 2003 from The Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School. He completed his residency in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Sheba medical center between 2004 and 2010 followed by a fellowship in facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Prosper-Hospital in Germany, He returned to the Department of otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Sheba medical center in 2011 as facial plastic surgeon. Dr Duvdevani has an international board certification from the International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (IBCFPRS) Dr. Duvdevani is internationally recognized and has been appointed by the European Academy of facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) to be a program director of a global fellowship for Facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The founder of the Israeli society of facial and reconstructive surgery of the ENT Head and neck surgery association. His specialty in auricular and the middle ear reconstruction, complex facial reconstruction, and aesthetic facial surgery. Dr. Duvdevani have an extensive experience in primary and revision rhinoplasty. Dr Duvdevani established the tissue engineering lab in Sheba and serves as the head of this lab and the principal investigator. Dr. Duvdevani published scientific papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented his works at scientific conferences in Israel and around the world.

Prof. Josef Haik, MD

Prof. Josef Haik, M.D; MPH, Director of the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery & the National Intensive Care Burn Unit and, Sheba Medical Center Prof. Dr. Josef Haik (born 1966, Ramat Gan, Israel), is a specialist in Aesthetic & Reconstruction Plastic Surgery and Burns. He is the Director of the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Sheba Medical Center and the National Intensive Care Burn Unit, serves as Professor in the Faculty of Surgery at Tel Aviv University. Chairman of the Israeli Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Prof. Haik completed his medical studies in 1994 at the University of Bologna, Italy and his Residency in Plastic Surgery between 1996 – 2002. He is a Specialist in plastic surgery since 2002 after which he went on to a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery in Sao Paulo, Brazil that same year. In 2003, he graduated the first class of the distinguished Sheba Talpiot Medical Leadership program. During 2003-2004, Prof Haik accomplished his Fellowship in the ICU, Burns in the Hospital of the University of Alberta, Canada. He has contributed to chapters in medical textbooks and published numerous articles on Aesthetic plastic, Burns, reconstructions, skin substitutes, wound care and epidemiology. He serves as the medical reviewer for IMAJ, WOUNDS, BURNS as well as a FRONTIERS DISASTER MEDICINE. Prof Haik has a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) and, Disasters Management since 2008; he is a member of the American Burn Association; a member of the Israeli Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery; a member of the Israel Medical Association; a member of the International Association for Aesthetic Surgery and the Israeli Association for Healing Wounds. Prof. Haik has served as Chairman of the Israeli Burn Association for the past five years and is an active member of the EMT Working Group on Burns Care at the World Health Organization (WHO). He joined the IHR to enable greater collaboration between his own research and that being undertaken with the Burn Injury Research Node at the University of Tasmania and serves as an associate professor at the Notre Dam University as well as the University of Tasmania. Professor haik initiated and established the first GMP laboratory for skin engineering and skin bank from 2019. Professor Haik leaded "humanitatian Delegations" to Kenya, Peru, Guatamala, Romania, St. Lucia, Haiti, Domenican Republic. Prof. Haik runs a private practice since 2002 and today at "Preimedical" Center in Ramat Gan and served as medical director for "Klalit Aestehtics" and "Primedical center".

Marina Landau, MD

Practices medical and procedural dermatology. Graduated from Medical School in Ben Gurion University and trained in dermatology in Tel Aviv Medical Center followed by fellowships in dermatopathology in NYU, New, Clinical Pharmacology in Sunnybrook Hospital, and Pediatric Dermatology, Sick Children Hospital, Toronto. Dr. Landau is currently part of the staff of the department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Shamir Medical Center, affiliated to Sourasky Medical School of Tel Aviv University. Dr. Landau is a founding president of the International Peeling Society, past President of the Israel Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and International Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (IFAAD). For the last 20 years Dr. Landau is dedicated to aesthetic dermatology by implementing her knowledge of basic processes in the skin into daily cosmetic practice and scientific research. Dr. Landau is a well-known international speaker on non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including injectables, peels, lasers and threads. Dr. Landau is an author of more than 90 scientific articles and a coauthor of chapters of 7 textbooks in dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.

Yosef Shem-Tov, MD

Otolaryngology Head & Neck surgery, facial plastic surgery. Dr. Yosef Shem Tov graduated Sackler medical school at the Tel Aviv university in 1982, followed by a residency in general surgery and Otorhinolaryngology at Hasharon Med center - Petah Tiqva In 1991-1992 Dr. Shem Tov completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mt. Sinai Hospital, The University of Toronto. From 1992 till now he is a senior surgeon at the Otolaryngology Head & neck surgery dep-. Rabin Med. Center , Tel Aviv University. Dr. Shem Tov has directed two hands-on Rhinoplasty courses and directing the Facial Plastic surgery program in the post graduated studies for E.N.T. residents in Tel Aviv University .He is a member of both the Canadian academy and the European academy of facial plastic surgery, the European Rhinologic Society and ,the Israel society of dermatosurgery. Dr. Shem tov have published and presented his 25 years of experience at many national and international conferences.

Eyal Sela, MD

Director of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Dr. Eyal Sela, Director of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery, joined Galilee Medical Center’s administration in 2013. As Head of the Ear, Nose, Throat, and Head and Neck (ENT) Student Program, Bar-Ilan University Faculty of Medicine in the Galilee, Dr. Sela is leading the training of Israel’s newest ENT practitioners in the Galilee. Formerly a lecturer at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology Medical School in Haifa, Dr. Sela was recognized for his excellence in teaching for three consecutive academic years as an outstanding lecturer at Bar-Ilan University and the Technion. Dr. Sela graduated medical school at the Technion in 1997 followed by a residency at the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa. Moreover, he completed a two year Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery at Jewish General Hospital, McGill University, in Montreal, Canada during 2010 – 2012. Dr. Sela has published numerous studies and presented at many national and international conferences. As the Head of the department of ENT, Dr. Sela is leading vast prospective and retrospective academic research along with his senior and junior staff, and engaging medical students at the cutting-edge of medicine for new treatment modalities. Dr. Sela also acts as a key speaker for visitors and media outlets wishing to understand the treatment of victims of Syrian violence as head of one of the main departments caring for many of the 3000 patients who have escaped Syrian violence to seek care at Galilee Medical Center, Especially for facial reconstructive surgery after gunshot wounds.

Morris Hartstein, MD

Mahir Khuri, MD

Graduated from medical school in Bologna, Italy (2008). Thereafter he received his Board certification in otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery 2018 after completing his residency at Bnai Zion Hospital (Haifa, Israel). In 2021-2022 completed a Hands-on Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, acknowledged by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery held at Sheba MC and supervised by the program Director Shay Izhak Duvdevani MD. Dr Khuri is the first ENT doctor in Israel that undergone a full hands-on fellowship held in Israel and that is known by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. Passed the written and oral exam of the international board certification of facial plastic surgery, a first phase onto receiving the international board certification in Facial Plastic Surgery. Senior Doctor at the ENT department in Barzilai MC (Ashkelon, Israel), where he works as a Facial Plastic Surgeon, promoting innovations in this field. In charge of the Otolaryngology residency program at Barzilai MC Israel.
